We are looking for a reliable Medical Receptionist to work in a Nephrology private practice. Candidates must be first and foremost qualified and compassionate. The ideal candidate must be experienced in providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
Greets patients in a courteous manner, maintain the registration process and obtain accurate patient data including demographic and insurance information
Schedules all new patient appointments.
Adheres to privacy, confidentiality, and safety guidelines per office policies and protocol.
Explains financial requirements to the patient or responsible parties.
Answers phones in a timely manner as you will be working not only with patients, but with other Physician Practices.
Must pay attention to detail and keep accurate and organized files of upcoming patient documents for the providers.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office setting including insurance experience.
Knowledge of administrative process, procedures, and preparing patient charts.
Have a basic understanding of office equipment use and functions
Medical terminology.
Basic understanding of medical insurance.
Proficient with medical practice management and EMR software.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to interact with our staff as well as our providers.
Organize and prioritize responsibilities while remaining flexible to changing demands.
Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure with minimal supervision.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
This is an entry level position, but also very important to help grow our practice.
